Draft survey software for bulk carriers
Every tonne, accounted for.
Keelmark reads, corrects and calculates a draft survey on deck, with or without a signal, on a phone, a tablet or the ship's office computer. Every figure keeps its working, so the cargo weight can be checked line by line.
Keelmark is a draft survey and decision-support tool. It is not a class-approved loading instrument.
Who it is for
Chief officers and masters
Survey at the loading and discharge ports with your own ship's booklet data. Ship owners and managers buy Keelmark as a fleet licence.
Independent surveyors
Keep the tables of every vessel you attend, and hand over a report that shows how each figure was reached.
What it does
Drafts and corrections
Enter the forward, midship and aft readings on both sides. Keelmark applies the perpendicular, trim, list and density corrections from the vessel's own tables.
Ballast and deductibles
Ballast by soundings or ullages, with trim and heel corrections, or entered as totals. Fresh water, fuel and other deductibles each keep their source.
A record that holds up
Every result keeps its working, step by step. A confirmed stage is locked, and any later change asks for a reason and shows in the survey history.
Works with no internet
Keep surveys on this device only, with no account, or sync them across your devices when there is a connection. A survey can also move as a file.
Early access
Keelmark is in development, built by a former ship's officer and tested against real draft survey sheets. Apps for iOS, Android and the web are planned for 2027. If you are a chief officer, master or surveyor and would like to try it early, write to us.
