This policy covers the keelmark.app website. The Keelmark apps are not released yet. Before they are, this page will be updated to describe how the apps handle accounts, surveys, photos and vessel data.

Who we are

Keelmark is developed by Oleksandr Dashevskyi ("we", "us"). For any question about privacy or your data, write to privacy@keelmark.app.

What this website collects

Nothing you type in. The website has no accounts and no forms.
No analytics and no cookies. We do not track your visit, build a profile of you or show advertising.
Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, the type of browser and device, the pages requested and the time of the request. It uses this data to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. We do not use it to identify you.
Emails you send us. If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use them only to answer you, and keep them as long as the conversation and our records need them.

Why we may use it

Under the EU and UK GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and in answering the messages people send us.

Cloudflare hosts the website and the keelmark.app domain.
Zoho Mail provides our email.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own data-protection safeguards. We do not sell or rent personal data. We disclose it only when the law requires us to.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Write to privacy@keelmark.app; we answer within 30 days, at no charge. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Other points

The website is meant for ship officers, surveyors and the companies they work for, not for children. Links to other websites are covered by those websites' own policies.
